I have been asked by many customers recently:  "What can I do to get better reception on my Portable Shortwave Radio? I don't have a lot of room and I don't have a lot to spend."
I hear you. !   Here is my simple, super low cost, and highly effective solution to enhancing signal reception on ANY portable.   A 25ft portable wire shortwave antenna for use in your home, apartment, on the deck or in the field, at the beach, the picnic, the campground, the condo, the boat, ... anywhere!

Also serves nicely as an indoor antenna for residents in Apartments or Condo Associations.
You plug the 3.5mm end into your antenna jack on your radio, or, if you don't have an antenna jack, you clip the other end onto your telescopic antenna... and experience a big increase in Shortwave reception.
I guarantee reception improvement over the standard telescopic antenna !
Many have commented that they experience a noticeable improvement in FM & VHF reception as well.

You can run the wire out a window, along the floor, ceiling, deck to deck, deck to tree branch, fence, the combinations are endless. And, at the end of the day, you unplug it, wrap it up and put it away for next time.  Have fun experimenting and DX chasing by running the wire straight, angled, in a loop, a slope etc..  It's simple.
(and... you can hook this up to ANY shortwave radio, ANYWHERE,  indoors or out and get great reception over a telescopic.)

A:  Absolutely ! And in our hobby, I encourage experimentation and DIY !  But...If you can't do for any reason, or don't have the parts laying around,  I'll put one together for you and ship it to your door.
The antenna consists of:
25' high quality, insulated copper wire  (the antenna)
3.5mm plug (plugs antenna into your portable radio antenna jack) on one end of the wire.
Quick clip alligator clip for connection at opposite end of the wire.
(clips onto your radio's telescoping antenna if you do not have an antenna jack, or connects to back of set antenna lug if you have one) .
Includes easy to follow instructions and SWL listening tips.
I can adapt this antenna to work with any radio by providing the necessary plugs, connectors, and adapters. ie: pl259 into so239 adapters, sma, f, RCA, Motorola etc etc...  Just let me know what you need BEFORE purchasing so I can put together a custom pkg for you.
