This item came from the infamous Mayor Stephen R. Reed's Estate of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Stephen R. Reed ( 1949 - 2020 )was dubbed "Mayor for Life" serving as mayor from 1982-2010. His dream was to open an Old West Museum, however, many of his purchases were made for his personal collection. He was accused of using taxpayer's money for his own interest.
The court dismissed 305 of the criminal charges for being beyond the statute of limitations.
Reed pleaded guilty to 20 of the remaining felony and misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property.
He was given no jail time, instead sentenced to two years' probation and a fine.
